Within the framework of the German Belle II network, a Belle II Academy is held annually for the further education, promotion and networking of young scientists. The academy is primarily addressed to Belle II PhD students, but is also open to Belle II internal master students and postdocs, as well as students and postdocs of the FSP theory partners. In addition, young scientists from other particle physics experiments, such as the LHCb experiment, are invited to participate in the Belle II Academy.
Thematically, the academy puts a strong focus on the interface of theory and practice and trains in particular the specific theoretical foundations as well as the experimental techniques relevant for the physics analyses of our students, PhD students and postdocs. For this purpose, our best experts and international guests give a variety of different lectures and workshops. In addition to Belle II-specific content, topics are provided to help students think outside the box, such as lectures on the LHCb experiment or information sessions on careers in industry.
